From Discovery to Public Health Insight

Workshop 2: Translational Virology Forum: Industry, Investment, Product Development and Implementation

This workshop will focus on computational tools, pathogen genomics, metagenomics, molecular epidemiology, phylodynamics and variant analysis, and how these approaches are reshaping modern virology. It will cover applications in virus discovery, outbreak reconstruction, diagnostics, vaccine and antiviral development, and translation of genomic data into clinical and public health action.

This workshop would develop the previous translational virology forum into a more practical pre-congress format. It would focus on partnerships, commercialisation, regulatory and manufacturing pathways, investment readiness, clinical development, and how virology discoveries move into real-world public health or clinical impact.
