It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Asia-Pacific Congress of Medical Virology (APCMV) 2027, continuing this distinguished congress series that began in 1982. As President of the Asia Pacific Society of Medical Virology, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Organising Committee and to the next generation of emerging virologists for their dedication and hard work in bringing this congress to life.

With their tireless efforts and the enthusiasm of all participants, I am confident that APCMV 2027 will be a resounding success. I warmly welcome all delegates to the Gold Coast and hope that this congress proves both inspiring and rewarding—and that you also take the opportunity to experience everything this vibrant city has to offer.
