RESEARCH PROFILE

Dr. Shih is a virologist whose research focuses on emerging and re-emerging RNA viruses, particularly enteroviruses, influenza viruses, coronaviruses, and arboviruses. Her work integrates molecular virology, virus-host interactions, viral RNA translation/replication, surveillance, diagnostics, antiviral development, and translational research. She has contributed extensively to research on enterovirus A71, influenza virus evolution and host adaptation, and SARS-CoV-2.
